Use Inquisitor For Better Search Results
A powerful feature that a lot of people use on Safari is the search bar on the top right corner of the window. This feature is great, but David Watanabe made it better. Not only does it help complete your search, but it can also find the website for you.
Inquisitor has made searching the web a lot easier, simpler, and enjoyable. Here are quotes from the Inquisitor website, that better explains what exactly Inquisitor is.
“Inquisitor… it’s like spotlight for the web. Start typing and websites pop up immediately. It’ll autocomplete your words. (is it reading your mind? and you can add more search engines to safari with customized keyboard shortcuts. “
Inquisitor is really simple to set up too. All you do is go to their website, and click download. After you unzip the folder, just click on the “package” and it will basically install itself. That’s all you have to do, now just open safari, start searching and you will notice that searching is a lot different.
You can also fully customize the settings for inquisitor as well.
To access these settings, just go to preferences on safari, and click on search. You then get this screen, now I already changed some of my settings around, so yours will not look exactly like this. You can see though that you get to decide what search engine you want, how many websites to show, and how many keywords to show.
This is a great application, and I would recommend it to anybody. To me, this is like quicksilver, only its for the internet. It will greatly improve your workflow.
What type of plug-ins do you use for safari?

You can delete my previous comments, for some reason the html isn’t working:
I only use Inquisitor as an actual plug-in.
I didn’t know about the new version (3.1) until you posted this, thanks for pointing it out!
As far as Safari “extensions” I use Bookmarklets. Some I use are:
TinyURL! this page.
javascript:void(location.href=’http://tinyurl.com/create.php?url=’+location.href)
Translate this Page into English:
javascript:void(0);void(0);void(0);void(0);void(’Add%20this%20text%20into%20the%20code%20to%20suppress%20the%20tooltip%20with%20long%20script’);void(0);void(0);void(0);void(0);void(0);void(0);void(0);q=location.href;void(location.href=’http://translate.google.com/translate?u=’+q);
Reveal hidden password fields:
javascript:(function(){var%20s,F,j,f,i;%20s%20=%20%22%22;%20F%20=%20document.forms;%20for(j=0;%20j<F.length;%20++j)%20{%20f%20=%20F[j];%20for%20(i=0;%20i<f.length;%20++i)%20{%20if%20(f[i].type.toLowerCase()%20==%20%22password%22)%20s%20+=%20f[i].value%20+%20%22\n%22;%20}%20}%20if%20(s)%20alert(%22Passwords%20in%20forms%20on%20this%20page:\n\n%22%20+%20s);%20else%20alert(%22There%20are%20no%20passwords%20in%20forms%20on%20this%20page.%22);})();
Make Current Window Full Screen
javascript:self.moveTo(0,0);self.resizeTo(screen.availWidth,screen.availHeight);
In case you haven’t heard of them before, bookmarklets are little bits of javascript that you can bookmark and activate at any time. They generally work in any web browser with javascript enabled. Just copy the javascript and make a new bookmark with it as the url.
