Top 10 Short Cut Keys That Enhance Your Productivity
I am in love with short cut keys. I have memorized so many short cut keys, that when a short cut key does not work, it completely throws off my whole productivity. Here is the top 10 short cut keys that will enhance your productivity.
1. Quit: Command + Q - The quit command will quit any application you are in. I use this short cut key the most, it saves me a bunch of time, so instead of going to file quit, I can quit any application in a flash.
2. Save: Command + S - The save command will save any document or file that you are working on or editing. How would you feel if you lost that report you were working on for hours. Do yourself a favor and memorize this short cut key, it will be your best friend.
3. Hide: Command + H - The hide command will hide any application you are in. This will help you a lot in preventing your workspace from becoming to cluttered. So when you are not currently using an application, just hide it.
4. Minimize: Command + M - The minimize command will minimize the application or window you are using to the dock.So when you want to remember an application for later, just minimize it.
5. Create Tab: Command + T - This is by far one of the most used commands that I use. Instead of going through all that trouble in safari to create a new tab, I just press command T and it makes one in a flash. Note: If you want to open a link in a new tab, just hold command and click on the link.
6. Close Window: Command + W - This is like the the opposite of create a tab. When you are done with a tab, by pressing command + w, you will close the tab. You can also use the close window command to close any application you are done with, but it will not quit the application.
7. Get info: Command + I - This is great when you need certain information on a file. I especially use this command when I need to know how big a file or application is. Note: You can also use this to change the application or files icon.
8. Copy: Command + C - This is great if you edit a lot of files. Just press command + C to copy what ever it is you desire.
9. Paste: Command + V- Now that you just learned to copy your files, you can paste the files where they need to be pasting.
10. Cut: Command + X - The cut command will cut the words or pictures that are in the wrong spot. This is great for putting applications in new areas.
