We all got a dream set-up for our office, the only problem is the price. All of your costs probably easily exceed $10,000. My dream set up is a Mac Pro, packed with ram and packed with processor speed. To go with it I would love a 30″ Apple Cinema Display. Right now i’m saving, I just got to be really, extremely patient.

Why I want the Mac Pro

Have you ever used a laptop as your main computer? Ok you have. Have you used one for six years? Chances are, probably not. I have, and believe me, I am sick of it! I cannot wait until a big box is at my doorstep, and a brand new Mac Pro is in it.

I plan on using a Mac Pro for many things, mainly for storage space. I have tons of photos and tons of music. I usually have to delete music once in a while to create more space. Secondly, I love power, and the Mac Pro is the “it” machine for power. It is so powerful, it is unbelievable. I want to edit a lot of movies, because thats what I love doing. The fact of the matter is, I can’t do that on my Black Mackbook. Well I can, but the power won’t be there, it takes for ever to import and export things. I need more space, more power to do all this without a headache. Plus, sense it will be more powerful, I can work faster which means I can work on more.

Why I want the Apple Cinema Display

These are the best displays out there, in my opinion. They are gorgeous, they have an amazing picture. Just looking at one, gives me the shivers in my bones. If you have not seen one, I strongly suggest you go to your nearest mac retailer, best buy or wherever to go look at them. I guarantee you, you will have a jaw dropping experience.

The ACD comes in 20″ 23″ and 30″. The 20″ has a beautiful display, but after looking at the other two sizes, it just seems hard to go with a 20″. If you have seen them all next to each other, you know what I am talking about. The 23″ is probably the first display I am going to buy, it’s a good size, it’s not the one I want, but it’s do-able. Then you got the 30″, the mother of all displays. Best display in the business, I’m telling you.

How?

As I said before, I am going to get my dream set up. How do I plan on doing this? Patience, thats all I need. Sometime within a few months, I plan on purchasing a 23″ ACD. With that I will get an adapter to hook up to MacBook, at least giving me a few more space to work with. Later, I will probably sell my MacBook to upgrade to a MacBook Pro. Now, I know this isn’t the mac pro, but it’s going to give me the power I want, and I will be happy for a while. While I keep on waiting, I’ll finally have enough money for: two 3.0GHz Mac Pro, I will add the Hard Drives and Ram myself, saving me a ton of money.
